    • Dennis was born at Hutchinson Hospital,Gawler 11th February 1941.
Dennis attended the Gawler Blocks Primary School then went on to
Gawler High where he finished his education. His early days were spent
at Gawler, his first job being in Jeff Bros flour mill and then with
Gawler Transport later Mayne Nickless who bought the company. He lived
at home with his mother and brother Gerald, the rest of the family
were married and had left home. Since his father died religion was a
large part of his mothers life (Plymouth Brethren) a radical group
with strong and demanding beliefs, this had a large affect on all the
family having no sense of home, with almost visitation rights being
applied. Dennis moved out of home and was married and moved to
      Salisbury.
He changed jobs after 12 years with Mayne Nickless and then worked
for a Agricultural Chemical Company Agchem Pty Ltd the company was
small with four factory employees, after several years Dennis was in
charge of 80 people and the company prospered, with the growth of the
company being so quick financing it's progress was difficult, so the
company was sold to Incitec a multi national company part of the ICI
Group. After 27 years service with the company the South Australian
division closed leaving all the employees out of work and Dennis in
that position as well. He then was involved in consulting work in
Sydney & Perth for a couple of years and then retired'
Sport played a major part in Dennis's life football with Gawler South
and then Salisbury, Tenpin Bowling, Lawn Bowls and golf . The
highlight was a hole in one 4th hole at Gawler Golf Club on the 3
      December 1997.
Coached Football in the junior level for many years while his son
Anthony was playing at that level. Coached a South Australian
representative side at under 15 level in Tasmania against
      Tasmania,Victoria and Western Australia.
He also is a founding member of the Salisbury Sportsman
      Association.::]
